CLINICAL MANAGER

Seeking a clinically-strong, hospital experienced pharmacist for the role of CLINICAL MANAGER at a 200-bed acute care hospital located in the Bryan/College Station area. 

The Clinical Manager oversees clinical services and drug information and coordinates the clinical activities of the pharmacy staff. Additional responsibilities include performance improvement, patient/staff education, maintaining all appropriate records, and working as an interdisciplinary member of the patient care team to improve medication use processes. Responsible for coordinating clinical pharmacy services and ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. The Clinical Manager facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.

Schedule is Monday - Friday, Days.

Must have Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD (preferred) and a minimum of three years experience in a clinical position. Strong background in critical care medicine and cardiology drugs preferred. Six to eight years of experience preferred. Prior experience as a clinical pharmacist preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations. Software skills using MS office, proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel, some knowledge of MS Access. Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)


Current license as Pharmacist in the State of Texas required (or eligible to reciprocate from another US state).
